PROJECT

A passive house built into the hillside. Rooftop photovoltaic array generates 18,000 kWh/year; ground-source heat pump provides heating and cooling.

Local bamboo and rammed earth walls. A 12-unit co-housing community with a rainwater harvesting system that meets year-round irrigation needs.

Natural daylighting design reduces lighting energy consumption by 70%. Cross-ventilation eliminates the need for year-round air conditioning.

Adaptive reuse of a former farmhouse. Original timber structure preserved, with solar tile roofing added.

REUSE: 80% original structure
